What is Porsche Smart Service and how do I use it?

With Smart Service, you are proactively notified about upcoming maintenance and repair needs in the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system of your car and in the My Porsche app. This function is also commonly known as Predictive Maintenance.

In addition, you can check the real-time status of selected car components and also plan service appointments quickly and conveniently through the My Porsche app.​ This ensures that your Porsche is always in optimal condition for maximum performance and driving pleasure.

What are the advantages of using Smart Service?

Porsche Smart Service offers a range of benefits to enhance your ownership experience. By bundling service appointments, you save valuable time and effort, making car maintenance more convenient and efficient. Regular monitoring and early detection of potential issues help maintain the value and safety of your car. Additionally, Porsche Smart Service offers personalised care through service reminders and proactive customer approaches ensures that your Porsche receives the attention it needs. 

How can I activate Smart Service?  

To activate and use Porsche Smart Service you need to ensure that the following preconditions are fulfilled: 

Smart Service is part of the Porsche Connect (Care) package and its availability depends on the car model and country. To verify whether your car is equipped with Smart Service, please follow this link. If Connect Care has already been activated, you won’t see it in the available products. Instead, you will be able to access it by clicking on the button My active contractsYour car has internet access. The data connection works via the integrated SIM card, depending on the country.  Privacy mode is turned off. 

Next, you will need to follow these steps: 

Activate Porsche Connect (Care) in the Connect Store and accept the Connect conditions, after which Smart Service will be available. Your car will then automatically analyse car data on a regular basis. Due to the Predictive Maintenance function of Porsche Smart Service, you will receive a notification via the PCM and the My Porsche app in the case of any maintenance and repair needs. Afterwards, you can arrange a service appointment with your preferred Porsche Centre. You may also find on occasions that the Porsche Centre proactively contacts you.

How do I use Smart Service?

Smart Service information will be displayed in your car’s PCM (Home > Smart Service) and in the My Porsche app (Home > Vehicle details > Smart Service > Service Information).

You can view the current list of components in your car's PCM as well as in the My Porsche app.

Once Smart Service identifies a service need, you will be proactively notified in your car and through the My Porsche app, along with action recommendations. Furthermore, a proactive customer approach may be initiated by your preferred Porsche Centre.

A general reset can only be performed by a workshop. However, for components where an expiration date can be set, e.g., first aid kit, tyre fit kit or a general inspection, you can reset them via the car's PCM. Just select the relevant component and choose Enter expiration date.
