How to resolve issues with Remote Services in the My Porsche app

Porsche Connect Remote Services allow you to operate certain functions of your Porsche by remote control or retrieve data from your car. For example, you can check its location and control air conditioning or heating functions remotely.

Below you will find an overview of possible causes of errors in the remote services and how you can solve them.

If you haven’t yet authorised remote access in your vehicle, you’ll be notified on the home screen of your My Porsche app.

If you are a secondary user, please make sure that you have been set up in My Porsche by the main user of the car. For further help, please read What is a secondary user and how can I add it for my Porsche?.

Occasionally, functions might be greyed out due to privacy mode activation. You can recognise this by the shield icon below the name of the car on the home screen. For details on turning privacy mode off, refer to What is the privacy mode and what is it used for?.

If your Porsche Connect Services have not been activated or have expired, you will be notified about the missing services with an info icon on the home screen below the vehicle name.

After clicking the icon you will get additional Information along with a link to the Porsche Connect Store.

Click on Visit the Porsche Connect Store to activate the service.

Make sure that you have installed the latest version of the My Porsche app Refresh the My Porsche app Deinstall and reinstall the My Porsche app on your mobile device

If you still need assistance, please contact our Customer Service (details below).

Make sure you have a stable internet connection on your phone and in your car. You can check the vehicle connection status in the app on the home screen above the car's name.

If you don’t have a connection to Porsche Remote Services, it could be because of a reset security code. After the security code is reset, the link between your Porsche ID and car is removed and remote access authorisation is revoked. All car-related services (in particular remote services) can’t be used any more. This also applies to secondary users: adding secondary users isn’t possible at this stage. For more details please refer to How to use the Porsche Security Code?
