How can I register in My Porsche and activate my Porsche Connect and Charging services?

Porsche Connect Services offer a variety of intelligent features that make your daily life easier. Benefit from real-time traffic updates, map updates, Porsche Voice Pilot, Trip Control, and many other functionalities.

The Porsche Charging Service gives you access to one of the largest charging networks in Europe. It lets you charge conveniently at AC, DC and HPC stations from selected partners, including exclusive options such as Porsche Charging Lounges and charging at Porsche Centres.

The availability of these services can vary depending on model, model year, and location. To see which Porsche Connect Services are available for your car, visit the Porsche Connect Store.

How to register in My Porsche and activate services

About two weeks before your car is delivered, you receive an email inviting you to create your Porsche ID and activate the services. If you already have a Porsche ID, use the email to link your new car to your account. Click the Continue to activation link in the email and follow the instructions to help guide you through the process. Here are some important hints before you start with the registration & activation:

Security code

For some models you will need to create a four-digit security code. This is needed to register the Porsche ID in your car. It is also required for using some remote services via the My Porsche app.

Billing address

During the activation process, check whether the name and address of the billing recipient are correct. If you wish the billing address to be a business address, edit an existing address or add a new one.

Porsche Charging Service

Data Pass

If you wish to use the Data Pass (availability depends on model and model year), you can also activate it during this process. For more information, please read the article on What is the Data Pass?.

Your next step after the activation

To use Connect services in your Porsche you need to link your Porsche ID to your car. Please refer to How can I link my Porsche ID with my car?.

You will find all your activated services in the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) after the next restart of your car (if your car is connected to the internet). Please note that you first have to log in with your Porsche ID in order to be able to use all services. Without a login only a restricted set of Porsche Connect functions are available, such as navigation but not remote control features.

Frequently asked questions

In this case, you will see a checklist on the home screen of the My Porsche App. By clicking on it, you will be directed to the activation process for any services that have not yet been activated.

Check your email spam folder. If the email still can’t be found, contact your Porsche Centre or our Customer Service (details below).

Please contact our Customer Service (details below) or your local Porsche Centre. They can then send you a new invitation email.

Check whether the SMS is sent to the correct phone number – see last four digits of the used phone number that are shown. If it is the correct number, you can request the code again. If the number is not correct, please get in touch with your Porsche Centre or our Customer Service (details below) who can help you change the number.

We recommend that you register as soon as possible to make sure that the Connect services are ready to use when you take delivery of your car.

If you own a plug-in hybrid or a fully electric model and would like to use the Porsche Charging Service, we also recommend that you register as soon as possible so that you can then book it in My Porsche. You can find more information about the service here. Please be aware, that the delivery of your charging card will take up to 10 days after activation of the Porsche Charging service.

You can also use the Track your Dream service (available in selected countries) which allows you to track your ordered Porsche from the moment it is created to the moment it is delivered to you.

Also, please note that the link in the email is only valid for 14 days.

Try copying the link from the email and pasting it into the URL field of your browser. Check whether the email is older than 90 days. If so, please contact our Customer Service (details below) or your Porsche Centre to request a new email invitation.

If you’d like your Porsche to be used by, for example, family members or friends, you can add them as secondary users to your account. For more details, see What is a secondary user and how can I add one to my Porsche? .

Please follow these steps:

Download the My Porsche app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Click on Log in or register and follow the steps. Tap Add vehicle on the home screen and follow the instructions. For more details, see How can I add and manage my cars in My Porsche?.
