How do I set up the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) in the Taycan?

PCM refers to the entire Porsche infotainment system. The PCM main control element of the Taycan is the 10.9-inch central display. You can control navigation, media, vehicle functions and many digital services via this touchscreen.

It is complemented by the 16.8-inch curved instrument cluster, the optional front passenger display (10.9 inches), physical buttons and switches and the integrated voice control via Voice Pilot.

To complete the initial setup of PCM, you will need:

your Porsche ID (recommended) a smartphone with My Porsche App for quick login via QR code (recommended)

Once you have logged in to PCM with your Porsche ID, you can use the connected digital services and customise your Taycan to your personal preferences.

Note: Without logging in with your Porsche ID, access to the PCM is restricted. Important Connect functions, including the charging planner with real-time availability of charging stations, are then not available.

The QR code is the fastest and recommended way to log in, but is not mandatory. Instead of the QR code, you can also enter your Porsche ID and password manually in the PCM.

Note: The initial setup assistant only appears the first time a new user logs in. For guest users, the setup assistant is displayed each time. Alternatively, you can start it via the PCM under: Settings > Setup assistant
