How can I link my Porsche ID with my car?

To access the full range of benefits of your Porsche Connect services, you’ll need to log into your car’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.  

To successfully link your Porsche ID to your car, the following requirements must be met: 

Your Porsche ID account has been set-up Your car has internet accessPrivate mode is turned off Porsche Connect Services are activated 

If you log in with your Porsche ID, make sure your Porsche ID and password are correct and entered accurately, keeping in mind that they are case sensitive. To double check, try logging into My Porsche with the same credentials. 

Please note that, depending on the model/model year of your car, there may be slight differences in how the buttons in the steps below are described.

Model years 2016-2024 

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your pairing code , which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Push the hard button HOME > Select Apps > Push the hard button OPT >Select Login Porsche Connect > Select Create new user > Enter the pairing code 

Model year 2025  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your mobile phone Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche 

With your mobile phone, scan the QR code displayed in the PCM under Settings > Accounts > Add new account. Alternatively, you can enter your Porsche ID and password instead.    

To make logging in as quick and easy as possible, we recommend that you already have the My Porsche app installed and logged in on your smartphone.  

Model years 2022-2024  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche 

Enter your Porsche ID and password in the PCM under > Setting > Accounts > Create account 

Model years 2020-2021  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your pairing code, which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Access Apps in the PCM > Tap on the Options icon (shows as a drop-down menu) > Porsche ID Settings > Enter the pairing code 

 Alternatively, access SET in the PCM > Porsche Connect | Porsche Connect service settings > Porsche ID settings > Link new Porsche ID > Enter the pairing code 

Model years 2017-2019   

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your pairing code, which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Push the hard button HOME > Select Apps > Push the hard button OPT > Select Login Porsche Connect > Select Create new user > Enter the pairing code 

Model years 2024-2025  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your mobile phone Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche

Enter your Porsche ID and password in the PCM under Settings > Accounts > Set up account

Model years 2024-2025 (3rd generation)  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your mobile phone Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche 

With your mobile phone, scan the QR code displayed in the PCM under Settings > Accounts > Add new account. Alternatively, you can enter your Porsche ID and password instead.  

To make logging in as quick and easy as possible, we recommend that you already have the My Porsche app installed and logged in on your smartphone.  

Model years 2022-2024 (2nd generation)  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche  

Enter your Porsche ID and password in the PCM under > Settings > Accounts > Create account.  

Model year 2018-2021  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your pairing code, which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Access Apps in the PCM > Tap on the Options icon (shows as a drop-down menu) > Porsche ID settings > Link new Porsche ID > Enter the pairing code 

Model year 2017   

Make sure you have the following in hand: 

Your pairing code, which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Access Apps in the PCM > Tap on the Options icon (shows as a drop-down menu) > Login > Link new Porsche ID > Enter the pairing code

Macan Electric model years 2024-2025   

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your mobile phone Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche 

For the initial set-up you will need to scan the QR code displayed in the PCM using your mobile phone After scanning, the login process will occur automatically. Please ensure that you have already logged in to your My Porsche app.   

Alternatively, you can enter your Porsche ID and password to log in.  

If you subsequently want to link your Porsche ID to your car, you can get the QR code or login field by tapping on the header of your PCM on your current user profile. You can then add a user by tapping on add account.  

To make logging in as quick and easy as possible, we recommend that you have already have the My Porsche app installed and logged in on your smartphone.  

Model years 2019-2024   

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your pairing code, which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Access Apps in the PCM > Tap on the Options icon (shows as a drop-down menu) > Porsche ID Settings > Link new Porsche ID > Enter the pairing code  

Alternatively, access SET in the PCM > Porsche Connect | Porsche Connect service settings > Porsche ID settings > Link new Porsche ID > Enter the pairing code 

Model years 2016-2018  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your pairing code, which you can find in the My Porsche app 

Push the hard button HOME > Select Apps > Push the hard button OPT > Login Porsche Connect > Choose Create new user > Enter the pairing code 

Model year 2024  

Make sure you have the following to hand: 

Your mobile phone Your Porsche ID and password  The security code that you defined in My Porsche 

With your mobile phone, scan the QR code displayed in the PCM under Settings > Accounts > Add new account. Alternatively, you can enter your Porsche ID and password instead.

What is a pairing code and how do I get one? 

With the pairing code you can link your car to your Porsche ID in the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system. This enables you to use the Connect services, via the My Porsche app, in your car. You can find your pairing code in the My Porsche app by tapping on the garage icon in the top right-hand corner of the home page next to your car’s name.
