What standard driver assistance systems does my Taycan have?
Your Taycan offers numerous driver assistance functions as standard. Many work unobtrusively in the background, while others can be specifically controlled.
This is how you access the driver assistance settings in the PCM:
Car > Assistance
Note: All systems function within their system limits and require constant monitoring by the driver.

Reversing Camera
Together with the standard ParkAssist, enables controlled reversing and parking. The coloured camera image with dynamic guide lines and obstacle markings is displayed in the PCM.
ParkAssist (front and rear) with visual and audible warning
Ultrasonic sensors monitor the area in front of and behind the vehicle. The parking aid provides support with audible notifications and a visual warning on the display.
Traffic Sign Recognition
Detects speed limits, overtaking bans and their cancellations based on camera and navigation data. The bend indicator supplements a direction indicator before tight bends. The recognised information is displayed in the instrument cluster.
Lane Keeping Assist
Recognises lane markings using a camera and supports lane keeping by means of gentle steering interventions.
Active Speed Limit Assistant
Recognises speed limits using the camera and navigation data, displays them and assists with compliance. The desired speed is set using the driver assistance control lever.
Limiter
The limiter helps to ensure that a set maximum speed is not exceeded. The maximum speed can be set manually.
Warning and Brake Assist incl. Pedestrian Protection
Recognises potential frontal collisions with vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists within the system limits. Warns visually and/or acoustically or with brake pressure and can initiate (partial) braking to reduce the collision speed.
Driver Awareness Detection
Monitors steering and operating behaviour. If there are signs of fatigue or distraction, a warning is shown on the display, optionally with an acoustic signal.
Emergency Call Systems: eCall and bCall
eCall (Emergency Call)
Is triggered automatically in the event of a serious accident and connects to the nearest emergency call centre. Important data such as location, direction of travel and vehicle type are transmitted.
bCall (Breakdown Call)
Can be triggered manually via the Porsche Assistance button in the roof module and connects directly to Porsche Assistance (e.g. in the event of a breakdown or technical problems).
Availability:
Both services are available around the clock throughout Europe. Operation is automatic, without the need to make any settings.
Speed Warning
Your Taycan recognises speed limits via the camera and navigation data. If the speed limit is exceeded, the system warns you visually and/or acoustically.
According to EU regulations, the cruise warning is automatically activated every time the vehicle is started. Manual deactivation or adjustment is possible via the PCM.
Path: Car > Assistance > Additional functions > Speed warning
