Charging Performance
At AC charging points, the Cayenne charges with up to 11 kW. A “State of Charge (SoC)” charge from 0% to 100% takes around 11 hours.
An optional 22 kW onboard AC charger is available, offering significantly faster AC charging performance.
At public fast-charging stations, your Cayenne Electric can reach up to 390 kW DC charging power*, under specific conditions, up to 400 kW charging power**. Thanks to intelligent battery thermal management, charging from 10% to 80% SoC takes approx. 16 minutes at suitable fast-charging stations. In 10 minutes, up to 325 km of range can be charged***.
For maximum DC charging performance, the charging station must provide at least the required output.

Prerequisites for Fast Charging

The achievable fast-charging performance depends on the output of the charging station, the current state of charge (SoC), and the battery temperature. If the Porsche Charging Planner is activated, the high-voltage battery is preconditioned automatically during active route guidance to support optimised charging performance.
If preconditioning is not possible, the Cayenne can still charge efficiently across a wide SoC range.
As a general rule: the fuller the battery, the slower the charging process. Charging power drops significantly once the battery reaches an SoC of around 80%.
The charging process can be compared to parking: If there are plenty of free spaces, parking is easy. However, if 80% of the spaces are occupied, it takes longer to find free space.
Preconditioning with the Porsche Charging Planner
For optimal charging conditions, the high voltage battery can be preconditioned when route guidance is activated. This supports charging performance during fast charging.
Important: Use your Cayenne’s navigation system for route planning. Only then can the Porsche Charging Planner schedule charging stops intelligently and prepare the battery to reach the optimal temperature in time.
