The Porsche Wallbox allows you to conveniently charge your plug-in hybrid or battery-electric vehicle at home at up to 22 kW (AC). The Porsche Wallbox combines elegant design with state-of-the-art technology. You can purchase the Porsche Wallbox online at the Porsche Shop and have it delivered to your home or buy it from a Porsche Centre. Managing the Porsche Wallbox using the My Porsche app

The Wallbox is fully integrated in the My Porsche app. Once linked to a Porsche ID, the Porsche Wallbox allows you to conveniently manage the charging of your car at home. Key features include:

For the best experience with the Porsche Charging Ecosystem, the Porsche Wallbox should be online (via mobile data, wi-fi or ethernet) so you can monitor and manage the device inside the My Porsche app. Features of the app include the ability to manage access control (RFID as well as Plug and Charge), change maximum power and much more. The online functionality of the Wallbox also allows for Over The Air (OTA) updates, as well as remote diagnosis for customer service in case of support requests. If the Wallbox is offline, the Porsche Wallbox web app may be used. The access data can be found in the onboarding letter that’s included when you purchase a Porsche Wallbox.

The Porsche Wallbox is designed to deliver its full performance with a three-phase installation and must be hardwired (i.e., a permanent installation) by a qualified electrician. This product is not certified to be used with a regular household socket outlet.

It’s a good idea to research if there any local or national financial incentives available to you for installing a Porsche Wallbox. Many regions provide subsidies or rebates for establishing electric car charging infrastructure. Check with local authorities or energy providers to discover if any such opportunities are available to you.

The easiest way to add an RFID medium to the RFID whitelist of the Porsche Wallbox is to go to Charging Equipment under the Account tab in the My Porsche app, then access the Equipment Settings. If the Access Mode is set to restricted, you can add a RFID tag by tapping on RFID cards and add new card. After holding the RFID tag against the smartphone (ensure the smartphone is NFC capable), the tag will be added to the RFID whitelist.

If the smartphone is not NFC capable, you can also hold the unknown RFID tag on the access-restricted Porsche Wallbox RFID reader. You will then receive a pop-up in the My Porsche app to decide whether the RFID tag should be added to the device’s RFID whitelist.

If you encounter an error when adding a new RFID card to your My Porsche app on your phone, you should first try and repeat the process. Ensure your device has NFC functionality by tapping Open settings under the error message to check the phone settings. If your device lacks NFC functionality, use the Porsche Wallbox to whitelist the RFID card instead. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Service (details below).

If the plugged-in cable doesn’t lock or unlock itself via the My Porsche app, ensure that the Porsche Wallbox is online and then repeat the process. If the issue still occurs, please contact our Customer Service (details below).

If your Porsche Wallbox isn’t working as expected, please try the following:

Restart the Porsche Wallbox by pressing the Power Icon on the device for 10 seconds Unpair the Porsche Wallbox from the Porsche ID and then restart the pairing process Make sure that all software updates have been installed
