Optimising the cost of public EV charging

When using public charging points to charge your electric vehicles, the pricing can vary significantly between different charging networks. This article will explain ways you can optimise the running costs of your Porsche electric vehicle.

The Porsche Charging Service

The price of public charging can vary significantly, depending on charge point operator, time of day and current demand. With the Porsche Charging Service, you can enjoy easy access to over 900,000 chargers across Europe, with consistent pricing across hundreds of different charge point operators.

The simplified pricing model means pricing for AC and DC charging prices are set at a national level across all affiliated charging points, making charging costs transparent and predictable. When buying a new fully electric or hybrid Porsche, you get a subscription to the Porsche Charging Service Plus tariff for up to three years.

Once that expires, you can choose between two subscription models, with an easy-to-manage, monthly rolling subscription:

Porsche Charging Service (ideal for occasional public charging)Porsche Charging Service Plus (ideal for regular public charging and roadtrips)

Porsche Preferred Partners

A further benefit of the Porsche Charging Service plus tariff is discounted pricing at Porsche Preferred Partners, including Porsche Center turbo chargers, Porsche Charging Lounges, Porsche Factory, IONITY, Audi Charging Hubs, Aral pulse in Germany (until 30.11.2025), Iberdrola in Spain (until 21.12.2028) and Zunder in Spain (until 31.12.2026).

Porsche Destination Charging

Porsche Destination Charging offers a network of Porsche AC chargers at hundreds of luxury hospitality venues across Europe, including luxury hotels, restaurants, marinas and golf clubs.

With an output of 11-22kW, you can conveniently charge your vehicle while enjoying the facilities of our partner venues. Guests with fully electric or plug-in hybrid Porsche vehicles can enjoy complimentary charging during their visit. Find more information here.

 

Porsche Exclusive Charging

The Porsche Charging Planner can seamless integrate rapid charging stops into your journey. As well as growing public charging infrastructure, Porsche drivers can enjoy exclusive access to ultra rapid chargers for rapid charging on the go:

Porsche Centre turbo chargers

Selected UK Porsche Centres offer ultra rapid (up to 350kW) turbo chargers, exclusively available to Porsche drivers. Benefits include:
