Direct Access via Driver Assistance Control Lever (DAS lever)

The driver assistance systems of the Cayenne can be operated quickly and safely while driving via the driver assistance control lever on the steering wheel. It is located behind the steering wheel, beneath the left steering‑wheel spoke, making it easy to use while driving.
On the outer left side of the driver assistance control lever is the “MODE” button. This allows you to open the selection menu and switch systems on, off, or between them. Using the Mode button, assistance functions can be accessed directly via pop‑ups in the instrument cluster and in more detail in the PCM.
You can find precise instructions on how to operate the driver assistance control lever here.
Configuration
In the PCM, driver assistance systems can be activated and deactivated. Path:
Vehicle > Assistance
Many settings are stored in your Porsche ID profile and are automatically loaded when you enter the vehicle. Other functions (e.g. the speed warning) will be automatically activated each time you start a journey.
Example: Speed Warning
Depending on the country, the speed warning is automatically active at the start of a journey.
If the permitted speed limit is exceeded, a visual and acoustic warning is issued.
The speed warning can be set in the PCM via the following path:
Vehicle > Assistance > Speed warning
Via “Personal Settings” in the PCM, access to the speed warning can be configured either as a widget or within the notification area. Setting a priority icon in the top left of the PCM is another way to enable quick access to the speed warning.
The acoustic speed warning can also be deactivated via the quick access button (joker button) on the multifunction steering wheel, provided it has been assigned accordingly. The button is identifiable by the ♦ symbol. It is located on the left steering wheel spoke and can be configured individually.
Short press of the quick access button activates the individually configured function.
Long press of the quick access button opens the configuration menu.
The quick access button can also be configured via the central display.
Path: Settings > Other settings > Assignment of quicklink buttons
