A default time of 60 minutes for fully electric cars or 30 minutes for PHEV is set automatically. Precooling/preheating can be turned off using the same method.

You can also set a departure timer that will precool or preheat your car to your preferred temperature.

Porsche Communication Management (PCM)

You can also control precooling and preheating from within your car itself via the PCM. Please note that depending on the model/model year of your car, there may be slight differences in how the buttons in the steps below are described.

Switching precooling/heating on or off in PCM

Home > Climate > Precool/heat Tap Precool/heat to turn it either on or off

Please note: turning it off will also deactivate any timers.

For more details, please refer to the Owner's Manual, selecting your model and typing Air conditioning into the search field.

The timer can be set to start once (single timer) or at regular intervals (recurring timer). After the defined temperature has been reached the climatization continues for another 10 minutes in case you arrive slightly later than your set departure time.

Home > Charging > Precool/heat > Set your desired temperature Departure or Timer > Add new timer > Set your desired date and departure time Go back to the Departure or Timer menu and activate the timer by ticking the box

To delete a timer in your PCM, proceed as follows:
