How to factory reset your Porsche Communication Management

This article applies to the following models

718 from model years 2017-2024

911 from model years 2018-2024

Taycan from model years 2020-2024

Panamera from model years 2010-2024

Macan from model years 2014-2025

Cayenne model years 2018-2024

You can reset your PCM infotainment system to its original settings. A factory reset will delete all saved preferences and configurations. After confirming the reset, wait for the PCM to restart and display the welcome page. 

Note: Click paths may vary slightly depending on your car's model year. 

Model years 2023-2024:

Go to PCM > Home > Set > PCM Display > Factory Settings

Model years 2017-2022:

Go to PCM > Vehicle > Settings > Reset > Factory Settings > Yes

Model years 2022-2024:

Go to PCM > Settings > System > Reset system to factory settings

Model years 2020-2021:

Go to PCM > Car > Control > System > Factory Settings

Model years 2018-2019:

Go to PCM > Vehicle > Settings > Reset

Model years 2020-2025:

Go to PCM > Settings > System > Reset system to factory settings

Model years 2022-2024:

Go to PCM > System > Settings > Reset the system to factory settings

Model years 2017-2021:

Go to PCM > Settings > System > Factory Settings

Model years 2012-2016:

Go to PCM > Vehicle > Settings > Reset > Yes

Model years 2010-2012:

Go to PCM > Vehicle > Settings > Factory Settings > Yes

Model years 2024-2025 (Macan Electric)

Go to PCM > Settings > System > Reset system to factory settings

Model years 2014-2024

Go to PCM > Vehicle > Settings > Reset > Factory Settings > Yes

Model years 2022-2024:

Go to PCM > Settings > System > Reset system to factory settings

Model years 2018-2021:

Go to PCM > Car > Control > System > Factory settings
