How to use Connected Media in your Porsche

With Connected Media, you can easily listen to FM and online radio, as well as your favorite music streaming services (available to download as third-party apps). Connected Media selects the best possible reception from available sources to ensure a seamless listening experience. It’s also able to recognize song titles and display album covers and radio station logos.

How can I use Connected Media?

To use Connected Media in your Porsche, you will first need to activate Porsche Connect services. You can check the status of your Porsche Connect services in the Connect Store.

In the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system, navigate to the following to access Connected Media:

Home > Media > Radio icon > Media Sources

From here, you can select either the radio or one of your downloaded radio streaming apps or other music streaming apps.

Sometimes FM reception can be interrupted due to location and a weak signal. When reception is interrupted, PCM receives radio stations online. To activate this function, go to Home > Media > Settings icon on the right and then select Radio settings > Online station tracking when reception is weak. 

How do I set favorite radio stations in my Porsche?

To set up your favorite radio stations in your Porsche, follow the steps below:

Home > Media

Tap the Search icon (magnifying glass), type in the name of your preferred radio station and select it in the Results list.

The radio station will be played. Tap the star icon on the bar at the bottom to save the radio station to your favorites. To remove it from the favorites, tap the star icon again.

To access your favorites, go to the Favorites tab and select your preferred station from the list. On this page you can also add further favorites by tapping the plus icon.

Your favorite stations are now stored in your Porsche ID. This allows you to access them when you log in to another Porsche using your Porsche ID.
