To use the Charging Planner, activate the Porsche Connect Service and Porsche Charging Service in your Porsche account, and enable the Charging Planner in your vehicle's PCM:
The Porsche Charging Planner is integrated into your car’s navigation and plans routes, including required charging stops. In addition to your charging stops, you can also show Points of Interest (POIs) close to your stops, depending on the model of your car. You can also plan a route in the My Porsche app, including relevant charging stops, and send it to your vehicle.
The Planner calculates the fastest route, factoring in traffic, charging station specific power levels, and estimated charging times. As you drive, the PCM displays:
For Taycan MY2025 and newer and Macan Electric MY2026: You can also set your charge point operator preferences in the settings menu
For MY2026: Adjust settings to include adapter required charging stations. PCM displays available charging plugs with and without adapter.
Note: Real-time details like station availability or payment options depend on the provider and may vary by location.
Note: Once you send the route to the vehicle it will recalculate the route based on the latest available information to ensure the fastest route possible.
For all electric Macan and Taycan MY 2025 and older: The vehicle will need a software update to recognize NACS charging stops as charging stations and take over the minimum charge time set in the My Porsche app. The availability of that update will be communicated in due course.

In addition to automated charging planning, charging stations can also be planned manually. To do this, proceed as follows:
The PCM can suggest a route to an available Porsche charging station nearby if the car's charge is low.
In your car’s PCM:
Nearby charging stations will be displayed on a charging map. You can start route guidance by clicking on the charging station name. Clicking the three dots will show detailed information about the respective charging station.
When you select Porsche Charging Service, your PCM will only show charging stations that are part of the Porsche charging network.
When selecting Quick charging stations, it will only show results of quick charging stations (more than 50kW).
The charging station address will be displayed and you can click it to get more details. You can also send the destination to your car by clicking the corresponding button.
Because of the fast expansion of the public charging network, sometimes not all existing charging points will be available in the PCM or My Porsche app.
If you encounter any issues with charging points in My Porsche or the PCM, please contact Porsche Customer Service (details below).
Cold weather can reduce range due to heating functions. Use battery preconditioning by using the Porsche Charging Planner to improve performance and minimize range loss.
Range depends on driving style, comfort features, aerodynamics, and road conditions. Drive efficiently, limit comfort features like heating, and avoid unnecessary add-ons like roof boxes to maximize range.
Your car notifies you in advance if the battery is low. Use the Charging Planner to schedule charging stops and ensure adequate charge at your destination.
No, partial charging won't harm the battery and can save time. Charging to ~80% is often sufficient unless additional range is required. Please also follow the general charging and care instructions in your Porsche Owner's Manual.
Spot On is a video series that explains different features of your Porsche. In this episode, discover how you can improve your Taycan’s charging performance and overall travel time for long-distance routes with the Porsche Charging Planner.
