  6. How to manage your charging costs with Porsche Charging Service:

1. Energy Fee

The consumption-based fee covers the electricity you use during the charging session, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Rates can vary depending on the charging network and the station’s location. The time-based energy fee is based on the time your vehicle is charging, regardless of the energy consumed. Both fees are clearly shown in the My Porsche app before you begin charging.

2. Session Fees

Certain networks may charge a flat fee per session, regardless of energy consumed or time spent charging. This fee supports station maintenance and operation. Session fees are included in the pricing details, which you can find in the app.

3. Idle and Congestion Fees

Additional fees may apply to encourage efficient usage so that chargers remain available for other users. Idle fees typically refer to fees imposed after your charging session is completed, whereas congestion fees take your state-of-charge and the utilization of the charging station into account. Some stations may offer a grace period to remove your vehicle. The My Porsche app will notify you about any additional fees to help you avoid extra charges.
