How to use Apple Music® and Apple Podcasts® in your Porsche

With Porsche Connect, you can seamlessly integrate Apple Music® and Apple Podcasts® into your Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system for effortless access to your favorite music and podcasts, including voice search for tracks.

This article applies to the following car models:

911 from model year 2022 - present

Taycan from model year 2020 - present

Panamera from model year 2022 - present

Cayenne from model year 2022- present

What do I need to do to use Apple Music & Podcasts in my Porsche?

Getting Started

To access Apple Music and Apple Podcasts in your vehicle’s PCM, first link your Apple® account to your Porsche ID.

Before doing so, please ensure that:

Porsche Connect is activated in My Porsche.

You have an active Apple Music subscription.

Your vehicle has an active data connection (ensure Privacy Mode is off).

Account linking can be done directly in the PCM or the My Porsche app (Apple® App Store® /Google Play™). After that, Apple Music and Apple Podcasts can be played using the PCM.

Please note that for the Macan Electric, you can use Apple Music and Podcasts exclusively via Apple CarPlay®. 

Setting up Apple Music and Apple Podcasts

Press  Home > Media and tap Apple Music or Apple Podcasts. If not visible, click the three dots (…) on the right side of the source bar.

Scan the displayed QR code with your phone to link your Apple ID with PCM.

Open the My Porsche app (Apple® App Store® /Google Play™) on your phone.

Tap Your Vehicle > Functions > PCM Services.

Scroll down and select  Apple Music  or  Apple Podcasts.

Tap  Link Your Apple Music/ Podcast Account.

Follow the steps to log in with your Apple ID.

Using Apple Music and Podcasts via the PCM

To play Apple Music and Podcasts from the PCM:

Ensure an active data connection (Privacy Mode off).

Confirm your Apple ID is linked to My Porsche.

Have an active Apple Music subscription.

From the Media menu in PCM, select Apple Music or Apple Podcasts for:

Apple Music: Library, Radio, Porsche Playlists

Apple Podcasts: Library, Top Charts, Browse

Voice Search: Find music or episodes hands-free
