How do I install Porsche charging hardware at home?

Porsche has a range of home charging solutions that allow you to quickly and conveniently charge your Porsche electric car at home. For the best charging experience, we’ve created a selection of services designed to help you choose the right charging solution based on your needs and to ensure professional installation of Porsche charging hardware. 

If you’re thinking of setting up home charging at your property, Porsche will assist you with a Porsche Home Check. This helps you find an electrician to assess the infrastructure at your home. There is also the Porsche Installation Service, which supports the professional installation of Porsche charging hardware. See below for more details.

To help you better assess how well prepared you are for home charging, the following questions can guide you in advance: 

Would you prefer stationary or portable/mobile charging? Is there an internet connection available at the location of the charging hardware? Where will your Porsche be charged? Is it a private or rented parking space, for example, in a shared area? Are you the owner of the property where you want to install the charging hardware, or do you have permission to install it? Is there a wall where, for example, the Porsche Wallbox can be mounted, or do you need a pedestal?

During the Porsche Home Check, the electrical infrastructure of your property is assessed by our recommended service partners, and the optimal charging solution for your individual living situation is determined. Based on this, you’ll receive a cost estimate to ensure transparent pricing for the installation of Porsche charging hardware. It also includes basic information about the installation and setup process at your home.

To evaluate the suitability of your property for home charging, you can schedule a Porsche Home Check with a Porsche recommended service partner (SWIO, 00352 40 33 33 134, info@swio.lu).

Porsche Installation Services

To ensure the highest safety standards and optimal charging experience, an infrastructure upgrade may be necessary to meet the specific requirements of Porsche charging hardware.

Professional installation of the charging equipment is essential to guarantee a safe and reliable power supply. Additionally, the Porsche home charging hardware must be properly configured and commissioned to ensure all functions are ready for use and tailored to your individual needs.
