What is the Porsche Home Energy Manager?

The Home Energy Manager helps owners of Porsche electric or hybrid cars who have it fitted at home by monitoring energy and power consumption throughout your property. By adjusting charging performance in real time, it ensures that your electrical circuit isn’t overloaded. It can also help optimise your home charging costs if variable electricity prices are available in your area.

Please note: the Porsche Home Energy Manager is no longer on sale. This article has been created to provide information for existing owners.

How does the Porsche Home Energy Manager work?

The Home Energy Manager is installed near your electrical panel and connects to your Wi-Fi network. It helps monitor and analyse the flow of electricity throughout your home. If necessary, it can then adjust the charging performance to your car in real time, helping protect your home’s electricity connection from overload (‘blackout protection’) if it believes this is imminent. It also enables the use of smart charging functions.

How do I use the Home Energy Manager to check on power consumption?

The Porsche Home Energy Manager can display the power that’s being generated and consumed in your home in a number of ways:

In real time Day/week/month/year At a glance

Can I manage the charging of more than one Porsche Charger using the Home Energy Manager?

Yes, the Porsche Home Energy Manager can monitor multiple Porsche Chargers. It also has three different customisable charging modes so you can tailor the charging process for each car.

With this you can:

Equally distribute charging capacity across the cars you’re charging Prioritise charging based on the car’s arrival time Prioritise a home charging session using drag & drop if you have Mobile Charger Connect

Does the Porsche Home Energy Manager work if you use solar power in your home?

Yes, it does. The Home Energy Manager is optimised to use a home solar power system if you have this installed. It can help achieve significant savings potential with the ability to use self-generated solar power.
