An iPhone 5 or later with iOS 13 or later Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Siri and Apple CarPlay enabled in the settings of your iPhoneIf connecting with a cable, use an undamaged original cable from Apple without a USB adapter to ensure trouble-free use

Connect your iPhone to the USB port in the centre console, centre armrest, or glove box, depending on your model. For more details, refer to your owner’s manual.Confirm in the PCM that you want to start using Apple CarPlay. Apple CarPlay will start automatically, and available apps are displayed on the PCM.

How can I operate Apple CarPlay using Siri?

To use Apple CarPlay via Siri voice recognition, ensure that:

Siri is enabled in the settings of your iPhone.Your car’s ignition and the PCM are switched on.You aren’t in an active phone call.The parking assistant isn’t active.PCM voice control isn’t active.

You can then start Siri by using one of the following methods:

Press and hold the voice control button (see image below) – on the steering wheel for 911, Panamera, Taycan, Macan Electric and Cayenne Electric, and on the control stalk for Cayenne.Say the wake-up phrase ‘Hey Siri’ (if activated in Siri settings on iPhone)Alternatively, long-press on the Home/Dashboard-Button (see image below).

To end Siri:

When Siri is active and waiting for a voice command, press the Voice Control button on the steering wheel. You’ll hear a fading acoustic signal.

Reconnect wireless Apple CarPlay

Briefly enable flight mode on your iPhone, then disable it and reconnect. To reconnect Apple CarPlay in the PCM:

On the PCM home screen, tap Devices.Tap the Apple CarPlay icon for the iPhone you want to reconnect.

Remove and reconnect your iPhone

If the issue persists:

On your iPhone, remove the car from the Bluetooth menu.Delete your iPhone from the PCM: On the PCM home screen, tap Devices.Select the relevant iPhone.Swipe left on the phone entry.Tap the bin icon to unpair the iPhone.Afterwards, reconnect your iPhone to the car. To switch from wireless to wired Apple CarPlay, follow these steps:

Remove the existing pairing:On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and remove your car.On the PCM home screen, tap Devices to open the Device Manager and delete your iPhone.Plug your iPhone into one of the front USB ports using a USB‑C or Lightning cable.Accept the Apple CarPlay prompts on both your iPhone and PCM.On your iPhone, select ‘Use USB only’ when prompted. This ensures future connections remain wired.

How do I use the My Porsche app in Apple CarPlay?

The function ‘My Porsche in Apple CarPlay’ allows you to control several useful functions of your car without leaving the Apple CarPlay interface on your central display, including:
