Tailgate and Bonnet
Whether you're carrying shopping, leisure equipment, or luggage for a trip - the Macan offers plenty of space. Larger items fit comfortably in the rear luggage compartment, while smaller ones - such as charging equipment - can be stored in the front trunk.

Tailgate Operation
The tailgate can be opened and closed using the following options:
Tailgate Operation with Comfort Access (optional)
With optional Comfort Access, the tailgate can be opened or closed via a foot gesture in the sensor area at the rear right of the vehicle. The vehicle key must be nearby (within approx. 75 cm).
Requirement: Activation in the PCM Settings > Vehicle Settings > Vehicle Locking Systems > Comfort Opening Tailgate
To close the tailgate using the foot gesture, perform a gentle kicking motion, then move away from the vehicle (during the audible signal) by at least 1.4 meters. Only then will the closing process start automatically.
Adjusting the Opening Height of the Tailgate
If your garage ceiling is low or you’ve installed a Porsche roof transport system with a roof module, you can easily set the tailgate’s opening height manually.
A confirmation tone will indicate the new saved height.
Bonnet Operation
The bonnet can be opened via:
The bonnet must always be closed manually.
Bonnet Operation with Comfort Access (optional)
With optional Comfort Access, the front luggage compartment can be opened with a swipe gesture over the sensor beneath the Porsche crest. Closing must be done manually.

If you want your charging equipment organised and within easy reach, you can structure the front luggage compartment with a practical divider.

Procedure in the Event of a Flat Onboard Battery
If the 12 V onboard power supply battery is discharged, an emergency power supply is required to open it. Further information can be found in the Owner’s Manual.
