Settings for Maximum Range and Efficient Charging

Several factors can influence the maximum range of your Macan. If you want to drive efficiently, you can make use of specific vehicle functions to maximise range and ensure optimal charging performance during short stops.

Smart Use of Climate Control

The interior heating draws power from the same high-voltage battery as the electric drivetrain. When aiming for maximum range, we recommend using standard ventilation instead of cabin heating.

Tip: Use the seat heating or seat ventilation instead of the full interior heater — it saves energy while keeping you comfortable.

Predictive Charging Planning

Set your charging schedule so that your fully electric Macan charges to the desired SoC (State of Charge) shortly before departure. Bonus in winter: Charging warms the battery in advance, which helps reduce energy consumption when starting your trip.

You can conveniently adjust these settings via the My Porsche App.

Path to Charging Planner settings in the PCM:

PCM > Navigation > Charging Settings > Porsche Charging Planner

Preheat the Interior

Schedule your departure time using the My Porsche App so your Macan is comfortably warm when your journey begins. The power for preheating comes from the electrical grid, not your vehicle’s battery — which significantly increases your driving range.

Optimise Drive Mode and Driving Style

The “Normal” drive mode offers the most efficient performance. Want to further extend your range? Drive with anticipation and avoid hard acceleration for maximum efficiency.
