Activation
When the Porsche Charging Planner is activated, preconditioning runs automatically in the background.
The Charging Planner is usually enabled by default when your vehicle is delivered by your Porsche Centre. You can check and adjust this setting via:
Navigation > Charging Planner > Porsche Charging Planner
Once route guidance is active and charging stops are planned, the high-voltage battery is automatically preconditioned before charging — whether the route was created via PCM or the My Porsche App.
Important: Be sure to use Porsche route guidance — not Apple Maps or Google Maps. Only Porsche navigation can ensure that your Macan calculates and initiates preconditioning with enough lead time.
By the time you reach the charging station, the battery will be within the optimal temperature range, allowing you to charge at maximum speed.
