Activation & Features
The Porsche Charging Planner is typically activated by default when your vehicle is delivered by your Porsche Centre. To verify or adjust the settings, go to:
Navigation > Charging Planning > Porsche Charging Planner in the PCM (Porsche Communication Management) system.
Once a destination is entered, the system calculates the optimal route — taking into account real-time traffic, current charger availability, battery level, and consumption. On longer trips, the Charging Planner automatically adds suitable charging stops along your route, prioritising high-power EV charging stations. This saves time and shortens your journey.
The estimated arrival time includes all planned charging stops, so you always know when you’ll arrive — stress-free, with relaxing breaks included.
The Charging Planner is integrated with the My Porsche App, allowing you to conveniently plan routes at home and send them to your vehicle remotely.
By default, the minimum state of charge upon arrival at charging stops and at your final destination is set to 10% SoC. However, you can adjust this value in the My Porsche App or directly in the PCM to reduce the number of charging stops and shorten travel time.
You can also select alternative charging stations or replace suggested ones by tapping on the charging stop in your route. Unwanted charging locations can be excluded via the charging settings using the blacklist function.
Another key benefit: Before a scheduled charging stop, the high-voltage battery system is automatically preconditioned — brought to the ideal temperature for fast charging. This significantly improves charging efficiency and shortens charging time.
