What are Online Software Updates and why should I use them?

Online Software Updates – also known as Over the Air (OTA) Updates – allow your Porsche to be updated automatically, securely and quickly via the integrated data connection. This keeps software on enabled car components up to date without you needing to schedule an appointment at your Porsche Centre.

These updates work similarly to those on a smartphone: They are downloaded automatically in the background and are secure, convenient and user-friendly. When prompted, all you need to do is confirm the installation.

Why should you I use them?

Always up to date: Your Porsche receives the latest software versions.Improved quality & performance: Updates can enhance your car’s performance, stability and functional quality.Time savings: No workshop visits required solely for software updates.Increased safety: Safety relevant improvements can also be installed directly.Complements traditional maintenance: Online Software Updates supplement regular servicing and continuously enhance your driving experience.

Online Software Updates keep your Porsche effortlessly and reliably up to date — for an optimal, safe and comfortable driving experience.
