Charging Planner: Charge with Foresight

Use the Charging Planner, especially on long journeys. It calculates your route including optimal charging stops, and ensures the battery is automatically preconditioned to enable fast and efficient charging at the station.

You can reach a peak charging power of up to 270 kW — provided the battery is within the ideal temperature range and the State of Charge (SoC) is between 10–35%. (SoC = State of Charge)

Another key factor for achieving maximum charging power is the charging station’s capability — it must offer at least 270 kW. The Charging Planner prioritises such high-performance stations automatically during route planning.

Preserving Battery Health

The high-voltage battery in the Macan is built for performance and longevity. To support optimal battery life, the Macan includes a Battery Care function.

How to Activate:

PCM > Charging > Overview > Settings > Battery Care

Once activated, the charging target is automatically limited to 80% SoC, which is ideal for daily use and proven to reduce long-term battery wear. For longer trips, this target can be adjusted manually.

Additionally, Battery Care ensures the battery is automatically cooled at high outside temperatures — increasing charging efficiency and protecting the battery cell structure.
