Porsche Drive Assist offers intelligent, anticipatory cruise control.

Function

Porsche Drive Assist includes and extends the functions of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

Using radar and video sensors, the system continuously monitors the distance to the vehicle in front and regulates it automatically, if necessary until the vehicle comes to a complete stop thanks to the Stop-And-Go function.

Drive Assist also proactively adjusts acceleration, deceleration and cornering speed - taking into account the route, speed limits, traffic signs such as stop signs and give way regulations, roundabouts and the current traffic flow.

Active Lane Guidance keeps the vehicle centred in the lane by means of continuous, gentle steering interventions and is particularly helpful on the motorway and in stop-and-go traffic.

If Active Lane Guidance is activated, the system can also carry out automated lane changes. After setting the indicator, it uses sensors to check whether the neighbouring lane is free. If so, the lane change is initiated automatically by a steering intervention.

If the system is activated via the Mode switch on the driver assistance control lever, "Assisted Driving" is displayed as a pop-up window in the PCM. Here, individual elements such as speed limits, route and lane guidance can be individually switched on or off.

Availability: Porsche Drive Assist is only available when route guidance is active in the navigation system and lane markings are recognised.

Important Notes:

All the functions described are subject to system limits and require constant monitoring by the driverIn order to maintain the full range of functions of Porsche Drive Assist permanently, a chargeable extension or separate map updates are required after the inclusive period of the Connect package has expired (further information on the inclusive period of the Connect package for your vehicle can be found here: Porsche Connect Store)
