Charging Flap
The Macan is equipped with two charging flaps – one on each side, each concealing a charging port. You can charge your vehicle using both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). AC charging is possible on both sides, while DC fast charging is available via the flap on the left-hand side. By default, both charging flaps are manually operated. Optionally, you can choose electric charging flaps during vehicle configuration.

Alternating Current (AC)
AC charging is possible on both the left and right side. When one port is in use, the other is automatically locked. The AC port features a total of seven contact pins and has a diameter of approximately 45 mm.
Direct Current (DC)
DC fast charging is only available on the left side, where the high-power charging port is located. This connector includes two large, round pins in the center for direct current – essential for rapid energy transfer. Additional pins for alternating current are positioned on the sides, enabling AC charging when connected to an AC charging station.
