How do I operate the charging flap on the Cayenne Electric?

The Cayenne Electric features two electric charging flaps at the rear, one on the left-hand side and one on the right-hand side of the vehicle.

There is a charging port behind each flap. You can charge your vehicle using both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). AC charging is possible on both sides, whilst DC charging is available via the charging flap on the left-hand side of the vehicle.

Operating the Charging Flaps

To open the charging flaps, place your hand flat against the marked sensor area on the rear third of the relevant charging flap. The vehicle must be unlocked for this function to work. With Comfort Access, it is sufficient to carry the vehicle key with you, for example, in your pocket.

Alternatively, you can operate the electric charging flaps via the Flow Display.

The charging flaps close automatically once charging is complete and the plug is unplugged. An open charging flap is also closed when the vehicle is locked or when a gear is selected.

Note: For detailed operating instructions, refer to the Owner's Manual.
