How to get a new Porsche Charging Card

The Porsche Charging Card gives you access to thePorsche Charging Service for quick and convenient charging of your Porsche. With the Porsche Charging Service you can use charging stations in many European countries with seamless invoicing through Porsche. You can start the charging process with your charging card or My Porsche app.

Where do I get a Porsche Charging Card?

The Porsche Charging Card will be sent to you automatically by post free of charge once the Porsche Charging Service has been activated. The card is ready for immediate use. Please note that it’s not possible to purchase the Porsche Charging Service at a Porsche Centre.

Frequently asked questions

The Porsche Charging Card is posted to your preferred address in My Porsche after activation of the Porsche Charging Service.

If your card still hasn’t arrived, it is possible that:

The card is still in delivery. It can take up to 10 working days after activation of Porsche Charging Service to receive your card. Your preferred address is wrong in My Porsche. Check your preferred address details in your My Porsche account (My Porsche app > Account > My Profile) in order to see where the card has been sent and whether it is the correct address.

If your card hasn’t been delivered after 10 working days or the address is wrong, please contact Porsche Customer Service (details below).

As an alternative to the Porsche Charging Card, the My Porsche app (Apple App Store / Google Play Store) or Porsche crest keyring can also be used to start a charging process. At some charging stations you can also use the plug & charge.

In the My Porsche app go to Account > Charging Service.

Step 1

Check whether your Porsche Charging Service is active. If it is no longer active, you can get a new subscription by clicking on Manage Subscription and you will subsequently be sent a new card.

Step 2

Once you have received the card, compare its serial number with the serial number in the My Porsche app to make sure that they match.

Step 3

Tap on your Charging Card and check Status on the following page to see if the charging card is valid and ready for charging.

Charging card is not activated

Please contact Customer Service (details below).

Charging card is deactivated

The card may be deactivated due to the expiration of the Porsche Charging Service. In this case, a new subscription must be made and a new card will be sent to you. Please note, if the Porsche Charging contract is renewed before it expires, your charging card will remain valid.

You can also check if your card works with an NFC reader app on your smartphone. If the card is not readable then it is most likely to be defective and will need to be replaced.

If your Porsche Charging Card is lost or damaged then you can request a replacement in the My Porsche app or by contacting Porsche Customer Service (details below).

To deactivate and re-order a Porsche Charging Card:

Open the My Porsche app Go to AccountClick Charging ServiceTap your Porsche Charging CardTap Block Porsche Charging CardConfirm that you want to block the card

If you terminate your contract and then take out a new contract, we will need to send you a new charging card. Charging plan changes during a current contract won't be affected by this. In this instance, you’ll be able to continue to use your charging card as usual.
