How to use Apple Music and Apple Podcasts in your Porsche

With Porsche Connect, you can seamlessly integrate Apple Music and Apple Podcasts into your vehicle. This enhances your driving experience by giving you effortless access to your favorite songs, as well as the ability to search for music tracks using voice control.

What do I need to do to use Apple Music & Podcasts in my Porsche?

To access your Apple Music and Apple Podcasts’ library and playlists in your vehicle’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM) you need to link your Apple account to your Porsche ID. Before doing so, please ensure that:

Porsche Connect is activated in My Porsche You have an active Apple Music subscription You have active data connectivity in your vehicle (privacy mode is deactivated)

Account linking can be done directly in the PCM or the My Porsche app (Apple App Store / Google Play Store. After that Apple Music and Apple Podcasts can be played using the PCM.

Please note that for the Macan Electric, you can use Apple Music and Podcasts exclusively via Apple CarPlay.  

How to set up Apple Music and Apple Podcasts

Press Home > Media > tap Apple Music or Apple Podcasts. If Apple Music and Apple Podcasts are not directly visible, click on the button with the three dots (…) on the right side of the sources bar. Scan the displayed QR code with your mobile phone to link your Apple ID with PCM.

Open the My Porsche app (Apple App Store/Google Play Store) on your phone. Tap your vehicleTap FunctionsTap PCM servicesScroll down and tap Apple Music or Apple PodcastsTap the button Link your Apple Music/Podcast Account.You will then be forwarded to the Apple website. Login with your Apple user credentials. After successful login your Apple account is linked.

Using Apple Music and Podcasts via the PCM

To use Apple Music and Apple Podcasts in the PCM, you will first need to ensure the following:

Your vehicle has active data connectivity (privacy mode deactivated) Your Apple ID is linked to My Porsche You have an active Apple Music subscription

To access Apple Music and Apple Podcasts in your PCM, tap Media and then select Apple Music or Apple Podcasts. The following functions are available:

Apple Music Library Apple Music Radio Porsche Playlists Apple Podcasts Library Top Charts Browse Voice search
