How can I use Alexa in my Porsche?
With Alexa, you can control Smart Home functions (if installed at home) from your Porsche and access features like information research, to-do lists, music playback, and news updates. Alexa also manages media in your Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.
Please note: Alexa is currently only available for the 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne from model year 2026 in the following markets: Germany, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Canada, USA, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. (information correct as of March 2025)

How do I set-up Alexa?
You’ll need the Alexa app on your mobile phone and an Amazon account that you’ll need to link to the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system in your car. To configure Alexa for your Porsche, please follow these instructions:

Porsche Voice Pilot and Alexa offer different use cases. Your choice of in-car digital assistant depends on your specific needs.
Alexa Built-in
Alexa excels in smart home integration, personal assistance and online information.
With Smart Home integration, Alexa in your Porsche allows you to control various functions in your home, provided you have the necessary systems installed. You can easily manage your garage door, answer the doorbell, check the radiator thermostat, and adjust your lighting, all through simple voice commands.
Alexa also helps you stay organized and efficient. You can create to-do lists and shopping lists effortlessly, as well as book restaurant tables.
Additionally, Alexa allows you find quickly information on the internet, whether you're looking for the latest news, weather updates, or answers to specific questions.
Furthermore, with Alexa you can control 3rd party media apps such as Amazon music or Spotify in your car.
Porsche Voice Pilot
Porsche Voice Pilot offers useful features by offering deep in-car integration with extensive car functions and navigation capabilities. Some of the key functions include the following:
With the Porsche voice assistant Voice Pilot, you can give navigation instructions based on real-time information and request details about points of interest and traffic reports. Further, you can easily access the charging planner or inquire about speed limits by simply asking, "What is the speed limit here?"
In addition, with Voice Pilot you can control additional car features, such as dynamic ambient lighting, inquiries about range mode, and activating massage seat functions, enhancing your overall comfort and convenience.
Voice Pilot also recognizes specific commands like "Drive me home" or "Make the ambient lighting darker," allowing for quick and intuitive interactions while driving.
Frequently asked questions
You are unable to use Alexa as a separate app on the passenger display. It’s always running on the main screen.
To control Spotify (or another music app) with Alexa, you need to change the default service in the settings of your Alexa app to e.g. Spotify.
Voice instructions for navigation and radio commands are only available to a limited extent. More complex commands should instead be made using Voice Pilot (see entry above for more information).
Due to pre-installation, the Alexa app can’t be deleted.
Other connected Alexa devices, like Smart Home, are unable to control functions in your car. However, you can use the Alexa voice AI in your Porsche to open your garage door or close smart shutters at home.
