How can I download the Car Security certificate?

You can purchase Car Security for your Porsche in the Connect Store (availability may vary depending on model and country). Once you have completed the purchase and the package has been activated you can download the activation certificate, which you may need for insurance purposes.

Open the My Porsche app (Apple App Store/Google Play Store) on your phone (login required).

Tap on your car.

Tap on Functions.

Scroll down and tap the Vehicle tracking system section.

Then tap the Get the certificate link under the ‘Proof of coverage’ section.

Review your information and adjust it, if necessary, before downloading your certificate by tapping on the Download certificate (PDF) button.

You can then choose how to receive the PDF download, for example, by sending it to your email.

In case you see an error message that the certificate can’t be displayed, please contact our Customer Service (contact details below).

What is the Car Security Package?

The Car Security Package (also called Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS)) provides greater protection against theft. The theft detection function and a Security Operating Centre that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week mean you will be informed immediately in the event of theft. If your car is stolen, vehicle tracking will help secure your vehicle, so that it can be returned to you with the assistance of the local police.
