How can I link my Porsche ID with my car?

To access the full range of benefits of Porsche Connect services, you’ll need to log into your car’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.

To access the full range of benefits of Porsche Connect services, you need to log into your car’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system with your Porsche ID. Ensure the following requirements are met: 

Your Porsche ID account is set up. Your car has an active data connection. Please note : While most newer models come equipped with an embedded SIM card that provides this connection automatically, certain models require a manual data connection to be setup in the PCM in order to enable the pairing/login functions. These models include:718 model years 2016–2025911 model years 2017–2021Panamera model years 2017–2021Macan (petrol engine) model years 2016–2025,Cayenne model years 2016–2021To set up a data connection for these models:Go to Settings in the PCM.Open Device Manager.Select the Data icon.Choose to:Connect to a Wi-Fi networkConnect to your phone’s mobile hotspotInsert a SIM card into the slot (located in the glove box or centre console)Privacy Mode is turned off. Porsche Connect Services are activated

Note that button descriptions may vary slightly depending on your car’s model and model year. 

Logging into Your Vehicle  

General Instructions: Before logging in, gather the following information based on your car model: 

Pairing Code: Found in the My Porsche app. Porsche ID and Password: Required for most models. Security Code:  Set in My Porsche for following models:Taycan model years 2020 - presentCayenne model years 2022 - present911 model years 2022 - presentPanamera model years 2022 - present

Log in to the vehicle

Please note that, depending on the model/model year of your car, there may be slight differences in how the buttons in the steps below are described.

Model Years 2016-2025:

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Push the HOME button. Select  AppsPush the OPTIONS button. Select Login Porsche ConnectSelect  Create New UserEnter the pairing code. 

Model Year 2025:

Ensure you have your mobile phone, Porsche ID, password, and security code. Scan the QR code under  Settings > Accounts > Add New Account in the PCM, or enter credentials directly. 

Model Years 2022-2024: 

Ensure you have your Porsche ID, password, and security code. Enter your Porsche ID and password under  Settings > Accounts > Create Account

Model Years 2020-2021: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Access  Apps  in the PCM. Tap the Options icon. Go to  Porsche ID SettingsEnter the pairing code. 

Model Years 2017-2019: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Push the HOME button. Select  AppsPush the OPTIONS button. Select Login Porsche ConnectSelect Create New UserEnter the pairing code. 

Model Years 2024-2025: 

Ensure you have your cell phone, Porsche ID, password, and security code. Scan the QR code under Settings > Accounts > Add New Account in the PCM, or enter credentials directly. 

Model Years 2020-2023: 

Enter your Porsche ID and password under  Settings > Accounts > Set Up Account

Model Years 2024-2025 (3rd Generation): 

Ensure you have your cell phone, Porsche ID, password, and security code. Scan the QR code under  Settings > Accounts > Add New Account  in the PCM, or enter credentials directly. 

Model Years 2022-2024 (2nd Generation): 

Enter your Porsche ID and password under  Settings > Accounts > Create Account

Model Year 2018-2021: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Access Apps in the PCM. Tap the Options icon. Go to Porsche ID SettingsLink a new Porsche ID by entering the pairing code. 

Model Year 2017: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Access  Apps in the PCM. Tap the Options icon. Select  Login > Link New Porsche ID  and enter the pairing code. 

Macan Electric (Model Years 2024-2025):

Ensure you have your cell phone, Porsche ID, password, and security code. Scan the QR code in the PCM for automatic login or enter credentials directly. 

Model Years 2019-2024: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Access  Apps in the PCM. Tap the Options icon. Go to  Porsche ID Settings > Link New Porsche ID and enter the pairing code. 

Model Years 2016-2018: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Push the HOME button. Select  AppsPush the OPTIONS button. Select Login

Model Year 2024-2025:

Ensure you have your cell phone, Porsche ID, password, and security code. Scan the QR code under  Settings > Accounts > Add New Account  in the PCM, or enter credentials directly. 

Model Years 2022-2023: 

Enter your Porsche ID and password under  Settings > Accounts > Create Account

Model Years 2018-2021: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Access  Apps  in the PCM. Tap the Options icon. Go to  Porsche ID SettingsEnter the pairing code. 

Model Years 2016-2017: 

Ensure you have your pairing code ready, which you can find in the My Porsche app. For more details, please refer to the section below titled "What is a pairing code and how do I get one?"Push the HOME button. Select  AppsPush the OPTIONS button. Select  Login Porsche Connect > Create New User and enter the pairing code. 

What is a pairing code and how do I get one? 

The pairing code links your car to your Porsche ID in the PCM, enabling you to use Connect services via the My Porsche app. To find your pairing code, open the My Porsche app and tap on Vehicle details on the home screen. Then, scroll down to More vehicle details. The pairing code is displayed under the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
