How do you end the Porsche charging process?

This article applies to all electric makes and models

The Porsche charging process can end in two ways:

Automatically: Charging stops once the vehicle reaches its target state of charge. Manually: You can stop charging by unlocking the vehicle and pressing the charging port release button. Some public charging stations also have a stop button on the station itself. Once charging is stopped, the vehicle plug unlocks, and the cable can be disconnected.

If a charging station is part of the Porsche Charging Service and was activated via the My Porsche app (Apple® App Store® /Google Play™ Store) or Plug & Charge, charging can also be ended manually by clicking the stop button in the My Porsche app.

If your vehicle remains plugged into the charging station after the session has ended, you may be charged additional idle fees. These are used to discourage drivers from leaving their vehicle blocking a charging station once the session is complete. To avoid idle fees, simply unplug and move your vehicle as soon as your session is finished.
