How to set up Apple Music and Apple Podcasts in your Porsche

With Porsche Connect, Apple Music and Apple Podcasts are seamlessly integrated into your Porsche. This lets you access your favourite songs and search for music using voice control.

Applicable models 

911 from model years 2022 - 2025 

Taycan from model years 2020 - 2025 

Panamera from model years 2022 - 2025

For the 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne from model year 2026, as well as the Macan Electric and Cayenne Electric, please refer to the article How to set up Apple Music via the App Centre. Apple Podcasts can be used exclusively via Apple CarPlay for these models. 

How to set up Apple Music and Apple Podcasts

To access your Apple Music and Apple Podcasts library and playlists in your car’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM), you need to link your Apple account to your Porsche ID.

Before you start, please make sure: 

Porsche Connect Services are activated.   You have an active Apple Music subscription.  You’re logged in with your Porsche ID in your car’s PCM. You have active data connectivity in your car. Privacy mode is deactivated / Connect services are on.

Account linking can be completed directly in the PCM or in the My Porsche app.

Press Home > Media > tap Apple Music or Apple Podcasts. If Apple Music and Apple Podcasts are not directly visible, click on the button with the three dots (…) on the right side of the sources bar. Scan the displayed QR code with your mobile phone to link your Apple ID with PCM.

Open the My Porsche app on your phone. If you have more than one car, tap on your car’s name and then select the correct one. Scroll down and tap the section PCM services. Tap Apple Music or Apple Podcasts. Tap the button Link your Apple Music/Podcast Account.You will then be forwarded to the Apple website. Login with your Apple user credentials. After successful login your Apple account is linked.

Using Apple Music and Podcasts via the PCM

Once your accounts have been linked, you can access Apple Music and Apple Podcasts in your PCM:

Tap Media. Tap Play.Select Apple Music or Apple Podcasts.

1. The Porsche Connect range varies according to model and country availability. For full service availability in your vehicle, log into the Connect Store with your Porsche ID.

2. When new customers register for a Porsche ID and activate Porsche Connect in their vehicle, they will receive available Porsche Connect services for a complimentary period. The length and features of the complimentary period varies depending on model. Fees may apply after the inclusive period ends. Customers will be notified before the end of the inclusive period about their subsequent options.

3. Certain Porsche Connect services will only be available if customers establish an internet connection with their vehicle using a plug-in SIM where applicable, or using an external Wi-Fi connection via a mobile phone or other compatible device with an appropriate mobile data plan. Both these options require customers to have a separate contract with a 3rd party telecommunications service provider. Depending on the contract concluded with the service provider, this may result in additional costs.

4. Certain Porsche Connect services may not be available if a customer’s account expires or is terminated, or after the sunset date of 3G, 4G, 5G or any succeeding technology or other factors which are outside Porsche’s control.
